The Unfinished Business is a life-size equine portrait on a 2.6 x 3 metre linen canvas, representing delayed passion and further themes of challenge, risk, learning and opportunity. Notably, this is the artist's third oil painting after waiting over half a lifetime to touch a brush to canvas. It was undertaken in response to a dare by a friend, for Terri to paint her 17 hand warmblood mare. The composition was developed from hundreds of images and measurements, then drawn freehand on the canvas and painted in thin layers.
