We encountered this big sea turtle while swimming from Tea Tree Bay to Main Beach, in the waters adjacent to Noosa National Park. My aim in this piece is to share the thrill of this creature swimming into view, her apparent ease in our company, and the delightful light and colours in the water. The original artwork has been selected as a finalist in the 2019 Kenilworth Art Prize, the 2019 Du Rietz Art Award, and the Noosa Sum of Its Parts exhibition 2022.
