Love Trees at Tea Tree Bay

Oil on linen | A study of three paintings
presented in situ and as full art images: #3, #2, #1

The Noosa National Park hosts several remarkable trees, including a few notable ‘couples’. Among my favourites are two Melaleuca, intertwined with each other and positioned at the edge of the beach, in the eastern corner of Tea Tree Bay. I affectionally refer to the pair as the Love Trees. Viewed at a distance, their sparce and somewhat pale canopies often glow warm shades at sunrise and sunset. I completed three studies in oils of these tree subjects. Their alluring partnership never fails to capture my interest as I set out to surf in the bay or commence a swim back to Noosa.
